Supported Independent Living In Western Sydney And South Sydney

Supported Independent Living

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS support. It offers individuals the opportunity to live in SIL accommodation, either independently or with housemates in a shared home.

Our dedicated staff is available around the clock, 7 days a week, to cater to your unique support requirements in your SIL accommodation. This support is different from Individualised Living Options (ILO), which are also known as short-term accommodation. With our SIL accommodations, our goal is to empower you to lead an independent life.

Our Supported Independent Living homes provide a warm and secure living environment. We provide assistance with daily tasks, commonly known as daily living support, including:

  • Household tasks

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a program under the NDIS that offers individuals with disabilities the opportunity to live in a more independent setting. They can choose to live on their own or with housemates in shared housing. Through the support of SIL accommodation providers, individuals with disabilities can lead fulfilling lives and maintain their independence.

SIL provides NDIS participants with a supportive living environment. Here, they receive the necessary assistance to meet their needs, which is determined by their individual care plans. This can include tasks like personal care and medication management. NDIS providers like Me & You Carers arrange the delivery of support and services in Supported Independent Living

The NDIS determines eligibility for SIL, but typically, it is based on the specific needs and circumstances of a participant. There are no specific restrictions on eligibility for engaging in SIL services through registered NDIS providers, so accessibility is not usually a problem. To find out how to access Supported Independent Living, get in touch with us, and we can help you navigate the service.
